Terms of Use

Cobrei Terms of Use

Effective October 5, 2026

These terms govern your use of Cobrei, developed by JJ Software. Cobrei is an organisation tool: it helps you track hours, create invoices, receipts and quotes, chase payments and follow your MEI obligations — but it does not issue tax invoices (NFS-e), is not accounting, tax or legal advice and does not process payments.

Subscriptions are sold, billed and refunded by Apple under Apple's rules. If you downloaded the app from the App Store, this is the licence agreement between you and us, together with Apple's minimum terms (section 10). The Portuguese version of these terms is the authoritative one.

1. Acceptance

By downloading or using Cobrei you agree to these Terms and to the Cobrei Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, don't use the app.

2. What Cobrei is

Cobrei is an iPhone and iPad app for freelancers and Brazilian individual micro-entrepreneurs (MEI) who sell services: time tracking per client, PDF invoices, receipts and quotes, payment-reminder messages, recurring charges and MEI information such as yearly revenue, the annual limit and DAS due dates.

3. Not a tax document, not advice

Documents created by Cobrei are not tax documents and do not replace the NFS-e or any document required by law. Issuing tax invoices, paying the DAS, filing the DASN-SIMEI and meeting every tax obligation are your responsibility. MEI information shown in the app is informational, based on the law at each update and on the data you entered; it may become outdated and is not accounting, tax or legal advice. Always check with an accountant and on the Portal do Empreendedor, and review every amount (including the suggested DAS and the monthly gross revenue report) before sending or filing it. The NFS-e screen only organises data for you to issue the invoice on the official portal; issuing it is your responsibility.

4. Pix and payments

Cobrei generates Pix codes from the key and amounts you enter. It does not connect to financial institutions, never holds or moves money and charges no fee on payments. JJ Software is not a party to payments between you and your clients. You are responsible for a correct Pix key and for confirming receipt with your bank.

5. Payment-reminder messages

The app suggests editable messages that you send yourself. You are responsible for their content and recipients, and for complying with consumer-protection law — in Brazil, art. 42 of the Consumer Protection Code forbids exposing a debtor to ridicule, embarrassment or threats.

6. Eligibility and your data

You must have legal capacity to contract (18+ or emancipated). No account is needed; your data stays on your device and your iCloud as described in the Privacy Policy. You are solely responsible for what you enter and for your clients' personal data under the LGPD. JJ Software keeps no copy of your data and cannot recover lost data — keep iCloud on or export regularly.

7. Free plan and Cobrei Pro

The free plan currently allows up to 2 active clients and 3 invoices or receipts per month, plus quotes, the timer, widgets, the MEI dashboard, the monthly gross revenue report, partial payments and time export. Cobrei Pro is an auto-renewing monthly or yearly subscription (in Brazil currently R$ 12.90/month or R$ 99.90/year; prices may vary by country) that unlocks unlimited clients and documents, Pix QR codes and your logo on documents, payment reminders, recurring charges and full reports.

Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the period; manage them in Settings › [your name] › Subscriptions. Refunds are handled by Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.

8. Acceptable use and third parties

Don't use the app to create false documents or for anything unlawful, don't reverse-engineer it except where the law allows, and don't circumvent subscription checks. The app relies on Apple services and, optionally, BrasilAPI (CNPJ lookup) and WhatsApp; we don't guarantee their availability or accuracy.

9. Licence, warranty and liability

Cobrei's name, brand, design and code belong to JJ Software; you receive a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use it on Apple devices you own or control. To the maximum extent permitted by law the app is provided "as is", and JJ Software is not liable for unmet tax obligations, fines, loss of MEI status, unpaid invoices, lost data or lost profits. Where liability cannot be excluded it is limited to what you paid for the app in the prior 12 months. Nothing here limits rights that consumer-protection law does not allow to be limited.

10. Apple's required terms

  • This agreement is between you and JJ Software only, not Apple; JJ Software is solely responsible for the app and its content.
  • Your licence is limited to using the app on Apple-branded products you own or control, as permitted by the App Store Usage Rules.
  • JJ Software alone is responsible for maintenance and support; Apple has no such obligation.
  • If the app fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, which will refund the purchase price (if any); Apple has no other warranty obligation to the maximum extent permitted by law.
  • JJ Software, not Apple, is responsible for addressing any claims relating to the app, including product liability, legal or regulatory non-compliance and consumer-protection claims.
  • JJ Software, not Apple, is responsible for any third-party intellectual-property claim relating to the app.
  • You represent that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo or designated as "terrorist supporting", and are not on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
  • Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of this agreement and may enforce it against you.

11. Governing law, changes and contact

These terms are governed by the laws of Brazil. We may update them; material changes will update the effective date and, where needed, be announced in the app. Contact: JJ Software · contato@jjsoftware.online · jjsoftware.online.
